England captain Harry Kane scored a second-half hat-trick as Bayern Munich beat Stuttgart in the German Cup final to complete a league and cup double.
24 May 2026
After a goalless first half at the Olympiastadion in Berlin, Kane stooped to head home Michael Olise's back-post cross to put Vincent Kompany's side in front in the 55th minute.
The former Tottenham striker added his second 10 minutes from time, spinning as he received Luis Diaz's pass before slotting home.
He then stepped up to convert a stoppage-time penalty to seal the win and his second hat-trick in as many games.
Kane's cup-winning goals cap a remarkable season with Bayern in which he finishes with an astonishing 61 goals in 51 games.
After Bayern secured the Bundesliga title for the second season running earlier in May and the German Supercup last August, Kane has now won four trophies since joining the German giants in the summer of 2023.
What proved to be a comfortable win over Sebastian Hoeness' Stuttgart gives Bayern their 21st German Cup win, and their first since 2019-20.
Hull's Wembley triumph came a year after they were almost relegated from the Championship.

Even the most devoted Hull City fan could not have envisaged their season ending like this.
Oli McBurnie's late, late winner against Middlesbrough means the Tigers, who finished 21st in the Championship last season, will play Premier League football next term.
The East Yorkshire side have confounded expectations, a transfer embargo, and the off-field drama surrounding Southampton and Spygate, to secure a remarkable promotion.
How to mark it? Well, the players are heading to Las Vegas, having been promised a trip there by club owner Acun Ilicali.
But head coach Sergej Jakirovic will be sitting out the Sin City jaunt as he takes a more peaceful breather before the bright lights of the Premier League beckon.
"This is a trip for the players. I will be with my family in Croatia. We have a beautiful coast there," Jakirovic said.
"They go to Vegas. You know what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas. This is not for me."
Al-Nassr's win means Ronaldo has won eight league titles in four countries.
22 May 2026
It is the ultimate image for the poster boy of football in Saudi Arabia: Cristiano Ronaldo lifting the Saudi Pro League trophy for the first time.
Al-Nassr signed the megastar in December 2022 - after he left Manchester United - to shock the world and thrust the country on to the global sporting stage.
But there has also been some surprise that more than three years later, the 41-year-old had not won a major domestic title.
The wait finally ended on Thursday as Ronaldo scored twice in Al-Nassr's 4-1 victory over Damac on the final day of the season to see off bitter rivals Al-Hilal and win their first championship title since 2019.
Ronaldo, who recently scored his 100th goal in the Saudi Pro League, has scored 129 times for the club across all competitions - but this was the title he was signed to win.
Dominant Aston Villa dispatched Freiburg to win the Europa League and end a 30-year trophy drought.

First-half stunners from Youri Tielemans and Emi Buendia gave Villa control before Morgan Rogers' strike sealed a second major European title 44 years after they won the European Cup.
Nine of that team from 1982 were at Besiktas Park in Istanbul to watch Unai Emery win his fifth Europa League.
Emery replaced Steven Gerrard in November 2022 with Villa three points above the relegation zone and has transformed them into top five contenders and, now, a European champion.
Villa supporter Prince William celebrated at the final whistle as Villa won major silverware for the first time since the 1996 League Cup.
Noah Atubolu kept an early Morgan Rogers drive out and Nicolas Hofler - in his final game before retirement - fired wide, but then Villa took over.
Tielemans - who scored the winner for Leicester in the 2021 FA Cup final - brilliantly volleyed in to cap a short corner routine four minutes before the break.
Buendia added a stunning second in first-half stoppage time, curling beyond Atubolu from 18-yards to leave Bundesliga side Freiburg with no way back.
Rogers added a third just before the hour, poking in Buendia's near-post cross, to underline Villa's superiority.
Amadou Onana hit the post and Buendia should have netted a fourth but, by then, Villa had already sealed victory.
Tottenham Hotspur's fight to avoid the humiliation of relegation will go down to the final day of the Premier League season after defeat by Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

Spurs knew victory would guarantee survival at the expense of West Ham United - and a point would almost certainly be enough because of their superior goal difference.
Instead, they go into their final game at home to Everton with a two-point advantage over third-bottom West Ham, but with the door left ajar for Nuno Espirito Santo's side to escape.
Chelsea, who had Calum McFarlane in charge having confirmed Xabi Alonso as their new manager from July, took the lead after 18 minutes when Enzo Fernandez sent a shot swerving beyond Spurs goalkeeper Antonin Kinsky.
Mathys Tel headed against the post for Spurs in the first half, but otherwise they were strangely lacklustre until late on, Chelsea doubling their lead after 67 minutes, Andrey Santos scoring from close range after Randal Kolo Muani conceded possession cheaply.
Richarlison gave Spurs hope with 16 minutes left, but they could not add the second goal that would have meant so much, ratcheting up the tension before Sunday's decisive meeting with Everton.
Spurs were furious when they were denied a late penalty after Marc Cucurella was cautioned for dragging down Micky van de Ven at a corner, but it was adjudged the ball was not yet in play.
Chelsea's win improves their own chances of European football as they move into eighth position ahead of Brentford on goal difference.
