Matheus Cunha scored a dramatic late winner for Manchester United as they defeated Premier League leaders Arsenal in a five-goal thriller at Emirates Stadium.

The Gunners' first home defeat of the season, following wins for their title rivals Manchester City and Aston Villa, means their lead has been narrowed to four points.
Arsenal had started the match extremely well, taking the lead when United defender Lisandro Martinez put the ball into his own net in the 29th minute.
The hosts gifted Manchester United a route back into the match when Martin Zubimendi's loose pass put Bryan Mbeumo through on goal and the United striker calmly went past David Raya and put the ball into an empty net.
United then shocked the home side, taking the lead five minutes into the second half through a superb strike from Patrick Dorgu, who hammered in a shot off the underside of the crossbar.
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta tried to force a turnaround in the match as he made a quadruple change, throwing on Viktor Gyokeres, Eberechi Eze, Mikel Merino and Ben White. It was Merino who thought he had rescued at least a point when he bundled in from a corner in the 84th minute.
However, just three minutes later, substitute Cunha picked up a pass from Kobbie Mainoo and curled a superb strike into the bottom corner from about 25 yards out.
The win moves Manchester United into fourth place.

Kylian Mbappe took his tally for the season to 21 goals in 19 league outings with a close-range strike early in the second half and a penalty in injury-time.
Both sides limited each other to half-chances during a tame first half, but Alvaro Arbeloa's side looked energised after the break and scored almost immediately.
Mbappe was on hand to smash the ball past Villarreal goalkeeper Luiz Junior from close range after Vinicius Junior's low cross was cleared straight into his path.
Some Villarreal players claimed that Vinicius carried the ball out of play earlier in the move, but the goal was cleared.
The Brazilian looked sharp in the second half as Madrid began to dominate, but he could not score as his goalless run in La Liga extended to 13 games.
Gerard Moreno should have pulled Villarreal level in the 62nd minute, but he whipped a shot over the bar when meeting a quick Dani Parejo free-kick unmarked.
Mbappe secured victory in the fourth minute of stoppage time with a clipped penalty down the middle of the goal after he was fouled by Alfonso Pedraza.
After the match, Mbappe confirmed, external the Panenka-style penalty was for team-mate Brahim Diaz, who missed with a similar attempt in the Africa Cup of Nations final last week.
Morocco's Diaz had a tame effort saved in stoppage time with the match goalless, and opponents Senegal went on to win in extra time.
Real trailed Barcelona by four points when La Liga restarted in January, but a shock defeat for Hansi Flick's side by Real Sociedad last weekend opened the door for Real to pile on the pressure.
Los Blancos have won their last three games in all competitions under Arbeloa, who began his tenure after replacing Xabi Alonso with a shock 3-2 defeat by second-division side Albacete in the last-16 of the Copa del Rey.
Arbeloa's side hold a two-point lead at the top, but Barcelona will return to the summit if they defeat bottom side Real Oviedo on Sunday (15:15 GMT).
Omar Marmoush scored only his second goal of the season for Manchester City against Wolves.
24 Jan 2026
Pep Guardiola needed to shake things up after his weary Manchester City side began to flag this season and Omar Marmoush served a reminder of his talent after the Spaniard dropped two of his key players to the bench on Saturday.
Star striker Erling Haaland's prolific form has ground to a halt, while Phil Foden has also looked a shadow of his usual self in recent games as City have fallen back in the Premier League title race.
Manager Guardiola felt the meeting with bottom side Wolves was the ideal time to give the duo a rest and his decision to put them on the bench was vindicated.
Marmoush, 26, had to stand up after starting in place of Haaland and the Egyptian showed how vital a role he can play in the remainder of this season by scoring his first top-flight goal of the campaign in the 2-0 victory.

A calamitous seven-minute spell for Liverpool saw Arne Slot's side go two goals down on the south coast.
Evanilson gave the Cherries the lead in the 26th minute after Van Dijk failed to clear the ball and Joe Gomez was injured as he clashed with goalkeeper Alisson while trying to block Evanilson's strike.
With Gomez off the pitch and Wataru Endo ready to replace him, Liverpool did not kick the ball out and carried on playing with 10 men for seven minutes.
In the 33rd minute, Alex Jimenez got on the end of a through ball from James Hill and finished through Alisson's legs to double Bournemouth's lead.
Liverpool then made the change and showed great resilience to come back into the game with Van Dijk heading in Szoboszlai's corner on the brink of half-time, before Mohamed Salah, from a free-kick, rolled the ball into the path of Szoboszlai who fired into the bottom corner past Djordje Petrovic to level.
Both sides had chances to win it in normal time with Alisson tipping Ryan Christie's effort over before Petrovic pulled off a great stop to deny Florian Wirtz.
Adli's last-gasp winner stood after a video assistant referee (VAR) check for a possible foul in the build-up, meaning Liverpool tasted defeat for the first time since November.
Yet to win a Premier League game in 2026, Liverpool remain fourth in the table, while Bournemouth rise to 13th.
Bayern Munich's 27-game unbeaten run in the Bundesliga came to an abrupt end on Saturday as struggling Augsburg produced a shock victory at the Allianz Arena.
24 Jan 2026
Japanese defender Hiroki Ito had headed Bayern in front midway through the first half, but goals from Arthur Chaves and Han-Noah Massengo inside the final 15 minutes turned the match in the visitors' favour.
Bayern suffering a first league defeat of the season looked unlikely when Ito headed in from a Michael Olise corner in the 23rd minute, giving the former Crystal Palace winger a league-leading 14th assist of the campaign.
However, Bayern looked unusually vulnerable in defence and were lucky that Robin Fellhauer's vicious strike in first-half injury-time hit the woodwork.
If that was a warning sign for Vincent Kompany's side, it wasn't heeded.
Minutes after Elvis Rexhbecaj blazed over when through on goal, Chaves beat Bayern goalkeeper Jonas Urbig to a corner to head into an unguarded net.
Urbig started in place of the rested Manuel Neuer as one of four changes Kompany made to his side, but never really looked comfortable.
Having lost each of the eight matches in which they fell behind this season, here Augsberg turned things around when Massengo finished off a stunning team goal nine minutes from time to stun the defending champions.
Bayern pushed hard for an equaliser but Olise - who now has four goals and seven assists in his past five league outings - hit the crossbar from distance with the final kick of the match.
Harry Kane had a quiet afternoon and could not help Bayern score at least twice for what would have been a record-extending 27th Bundesliga game.
This surprise defeat means Bayern remain 11 points clear of closest challengers Borussia Dortmund at the top of the table, having played one game more.
Augsburg, who were winless in their previous five matches, move up to 13th in the standings, four points clear of the relegation play-off place.
